George E. Akwo is a seasoned trial attorney with over 34 years of legal experience representing clients in state and federal courts. His practice focuses on trust and probate litigation, real estate disputes, business litigation, construction law, employment matters, and complex civil litigation.

Mr. Akwo has extensive experience representing trustees and beneficiaries in trust disputes involving improper distributions, self-dealing, excessive trustee compensation, improper investments, and interpretation of trust provisions. He also handles probate disputes involving real estate and estate assets, as well as broader litigation involving contracts, partnerships, land use, and real estate development.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Akwo served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Marilyn Hall Patel in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and later as a Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco for seven years. He has successfully handled numerous jury and bench trials and previously served as an instructor at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, training attorneys in trial litigation.

Mr. Akwo earned his Bachelor of Arts with University Honors and Highest Departmental Distinction from the University of Illinois, a Master of Arts in Communications Management from the University of Southern California, and his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of the Law). He also participated in the International Law Program through the University of Notre Dame School of Law in Singapore and Cambridge, England.
